Owning a firearm is the first step. Knowing how to use it under pressure, from cover, and on the move is what protects the people you love.

This is an advanced course built for shooters who already have the fundamentals and want to turn range skill into real-world defensive capability.

Every WJS Guns instructor is USCCA and NRA certified. You’ll learn from people who teach defensive shooting for a living and know how to push you without compromising safety.

Who This Class Is For

This is not a beginner course. To get the most out of it, you must already be able to demonstrate:

• Safe gun handling: Consistent, disciplined fundamentals
• Accurate shooting: The ability to shoot a good group
• Basic competence under movement: A foundation you’re ready to build on

If you’re ready to move past standing still and punching paper, this class is for you.

What You’ll Train

• Working from the holster: Draw and present your firearm the way you’d actually carry it.
• Firing from cover: Learn to use barriers to protect yourself while staying effective.
• Shooting on the move: Build the ability to stay accurate while moving.
• Defending your home and family: Sharpen the skills that maximize your ability to protect what matters most.

Bonus Topics (as time allows)

• Counter carjacking: Learn how to respond when a threat targets you in your vehicle.
• Handgun-to-rifle transition: Practice moving from your handgun to your rifle quickly and smoothly when the situation demands it.

Bonus topics and transition drills are covered only as time allows.

What to Expect

This is a hands-on, outdoor class that typically runs 6 to 8 hours, rain or shine. Real threats don’t wait for good weather, and neither does this training. Dress for the conditions and bring water.

Gear Up: What to Bring

• Handgun
• 400 rounds of handgun ammunition
• 1 extra handgun magazine
• 1 magazine pouch
• Eye and ear protection

• Range bag
• Closed-toe shoes

For transition drills (as time allows):

• Rifle
• 100 rounds of rifle ammunition
• Rifle sling

Classes run only when we reach six students, so register early to help lock in your date.

Cancellation Policy

• Reschedule at least 72 hours before class. Rescheduling with less than 72 hours’ notice forfeits your class fee, and you’ll need to enroll in a new class.
• If we cancel, you can choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
• Minimum enrollment: A minimum of six students is required, or we will reschedule the class.
